  • 4 cup pecan halves
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoon water
  • 6 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 dash salt

Directions

Combine the pecans, soy sauce, water, garlic and cayenne pepper in a large mixing bowl. Cover and let stand for 1 hour.

Brush the inside of a large, heavy saucepan with the sesame oil. Add the pecan mixture and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until all the liquid has evaporated.

Spread the mixture onto a large tray or baking sheet and cool completely. Sprinkle with salt to taste.
